Hiking The
park has many trails for hikers. From the bottom of the
falls there are trails down the canyon to Lake Britton. From the
top of the falls you can hike up to the headwaters of Burney creek
where the year-round flow of water comes out from underground.
There are pedestrian bridges across Burney creek above and below the
falls for access to hikers on both sides of the creek. The
Pacific Crest Trail passes through the park. Another trail
will lead you to Lake Britton passing by the Pioneer Cemetery.
Lake Britton
offers fishing, boat launching and swimming. Boat
and canoe rentals are available through the summer months at the lake.

Camping at the park is amid the
pine forest on the plateau
above the
creek. There are 128 campsites with picnic tables, fire rings and
water faucets with easy access for R.V.s. There are no hookups,
but there is a dump station in the camping area. During the
summer months, the camp sites are full every night, so reservations are
needed well in advance.
A gift shop and snack
bar are open in the park from April 15th through September for your
convenience. Reservations
can be made by calling Park-Net
company at 1.800.444.7275 or 1.800.444.PARK. For park information

Heritage Days are
held at the park on the Sunday of Columbus day
weekend each year where some of the history of the area is
reenacted. Historic methods of blacksmithing, weaving, candle
making and other pioneer activities are on display for all to
enjoy. The 2005 date for the event will be October
9th.
